As pollution grows gradually every day, our environment becomes less breathable and less safe to live on. We live hard and we die fast. The cycle keeps on repeating and on every cycle, things get harder and harder. As our lives continue, we become more vulnerable to different infections as more infections are introduced. In most instances, we cannot prevent being infected. This is why our lives are always at risk to infection. If we truly care about our lives, we must learn how to protect it.

Infections such as bacterial infections are mostly common especially to children. Their presence should not be ignored because they are our enemies. For most women, the greatest enemy is yeast infection. This infection is often present in men and they are acquired through sexual contact. However, yeast infection is not at the same level as sexually transmitted diseases. In fact, it can show up in children as young as two years old.

Fortunately, yeast infection can be treated if it is given much attention. Otherwise, its symptoms will become less tolerable especially the pain and the soreness. Typically, most of us believe that infections are associated with overgrowth of bacteria. This is the reason why we have the tendency to treat infections with bacterial medications such as antibiotics. However, is this wise option?

First, let us get acquainted with antibiotics. In simple words, antibiotic is an antimicrobial compound that is designed to fight off or hinder the growth of bacteria. They are usually used to treat infections that are caused by microorganisms such bacteria, fungi and protozoa. Yes, antibiotics are sometimes use for fungal infections. However, is this effective? Or rather, is this recommended?

Most of us have no idea that bacterial medications are different from fungal medications. In fact, there is a significance difference between them. The two can treat different types of infections however; they cannot usually treat the same infection.

Apparently, a person with yeast infection is not encouraged to ingest antibiotics or even apply antibiotics on the infected area. The explanation for this is antibiotics are considered one of the primary causes of yeast infection. This means that antibiotics can kill the good bacteria and hence disturb the natural balance of the microorganisms on the body, especially if the antibiotics are used inappropriately. In conclusion, antibiotics are not recommended as cure for yeast infection.
